Cantagalo Jiu-Jitsu athletes proudly stand on the podium after securing second and third places at the IBJJF European 2026 Championship.

From January 15th to January 24th, 2026, athletes from Cantagalo Jiu-Jitsu London competed at the IBJJF European Championship in Lisbon, Portugal, representing our team with dedication, discipline, and true jiu-jitsu spirit.

About the Competition

The IBJJF European Championship is one of the most respected events in the jiu-jitsu calendar, bringing together athletes from around the world to test their skills at the highest level.

Our athletes showed incredible commitment on and off the mats, demonstrating strong technique, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the event.

Athlete Results & Highlights

• Leticia Gallardo – Purple Belt

  🏅 Leticia delivered a strong performance, proudly representing our gym and bringing home a well-deserved bronze medal.

• Gerson Pinheiro Dias – Brown Belt

  🏅  After a series of tough matches, Gerson showcased an excellent game and finished the competition with an impressive silver medal.

Majd, Salas, Klay, Bruno, and Lucas also stepped onto the competition mats, gaining valuable experience, testing their skills under pressure, and proudly representing Cantagalo throughout the event. Our coaches are proud of every athlete who competed. Competition is about growth, learning, and pushing personal limits — and our team did exactly that.
